Here's a simple question: how much does a book's cover or overall design factor into you purchasing it? Explain.

Somewhat. A good/interesting cover will not make me buy a book, but it will at least make it more likely for me pick it up and read the back/dust jacket. Also, a bad cover is more likely to make me NOT purchase a book than a goodcover is likely to make me purchase one. This is mainly because I am insecure and don't want people to think I am readinga terrible book.
